Although I think the Niagara Falls aren't as amazing as they're hyped up to be, they're still pretty cool. But I love this picture because somehow I captured this amazing swish swoosh of mist (or whatever it is) and it looks like a pot of boiling water.

So close, yet so far

I started this blog back in 2006 while I was bored in London (yeah, I know...bored IN LONDON) but after posting twice I moved on with my life. So now almost four years later, I thought about reviving the blog and making it a "picture travel blog." By no means have I, nor India, travelled the entire world, but while we are making our way around to it (Insh'Allah!) we hope to bring some "insight" and entertainment to our readers (should that be in quotes too: "readers") These will be our own pictures so the quality may be bleh sometimes.

Anyways...what better way to kick this off than to post a picture of our President's house?

I went to D.C. in Summer 2009 and it was HOTTTT as heck. There were a ton of people clamoring to take pictures of the White House and I finally elbowed my way in to snap this picture.

Snobs

So I've made it past my first month here in England. And boy, am I glad I did. I feel like all the snobby people of the world have somehow come here to live together on this tiny little wretched island. I find myself constantly asking the question, "damn, are people REALLY that bitchy here?!" Just yesterday me and my companions were lost in a museum, I kindly asked the security guard where the nearest exit was and he kindly looked at me and kept walking. What a bastard! And honestly, I thought that when I came to England a few years ago that I was just exaggerating the anti-American racism I received, but good Lord! I'm honestly sometimes afraid to ask anyone a question just cuz of how they'll react. oh well...onto nicer things.

By the way, if you ever plan on coming to this island, make sure to bring a great pair of walking shoes...you'll need it. The transportation system here is great, but it sure knocks the wind outta your legs. And the weather here needs to make up its mind...just two days ago it was blazing hot, forcing me to think if i shoulda just stayed in Miami. Then yesterday and today, cool like ice. But heck, i love the cool weather...not cold...just cool. Especially since what i've been hearing about Karachi (my next destination) about how hot it is that people are literally dying from the heat. oh well...again onto nicer things.

...sorry, that's all the things i've got. no more nicer things than that! i miss my friends...carlos, james, zamir, pepe, and yes...even andrew. and my heart is currently lost in chicago.

First 10 Days in England

So no fish and chips, no tea and crumpets, no trolly frolly no diddly daddlies, England has disappointed me this time around. Perhaps the root of all this disappointment arises from the currency rate of exchange. Four years ago I was surprised when I got £60 for every $100 I traded in, and now I'm lucky if I get £45 for every $100. Meanwhile, the prices of everything remains double that of everything in the U.S., or at least Miami. A simple McChicken sandwich, fries, and a coke, which you can easily get from the dollar menu at McDonalds in Miami ends up being around $8. But oh well, gotta spend when you're on vacation. Aside from this, I've been out a few times and will post pictures as the times comes. For now, toodle-oo! btw, they dont really say that here.
